Small Businesses, Big Ideas
The U.S. Small Business Administration is inviting small businesses across the country to take part in the Patriot Pitch Competition, a national live pitch competition celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and American ingenuity as the nation prepares for its 250th anniversary.
The competition is designed to highlight the Main Street businesses that have helped shape American communities for generations, as well as the entrepreneurs developing new ideas for the future. From companies creating new capital products to businesses strengthening their operations and expanding their impact, the Patriot Pitch Competition will recognize the creativity, resilience, and ambition of small businesses nationwide.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete for major recognition and prizes, including a chance to win from a $1 million cash prize pool. Selected businesses may also have the opportunity to be part of the Freedom 250 initiatives and celebrations in Washington, D.C., bringing national visibility to their work and their role in America’s economic future.
Businesses will be evaluated through four stages of judging. The judging criteria will focus on how each business strengthens American competitiveness, supports the idea of small businesses “punching above their weight,” creates economic impact and quality jobs, and demonstrates strong business fundamentals and execution readiness.
Key Dates
The submission deadline is June 10, 2026. Finalists will be notified in July 2026, and the final pitch competition will take place on September 18, 2026. Additional details about the final event will be announced at a later date.
How to Apply
Eligible businesses must submit their application by June 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Business owners are encouraged to review the full eligibility requirements and submission instructions before applying.
