LEADERCAST DELMARVA COMING TO THE SHORE IN MAY

Federalsburg, MD

Leadercast Delmarva

Caroline Economic Development Corp. (CEDC), in partnership with Caroline County Public Schools, will be hosting Leadercast Delmarva at the Colonel Richardson High School auditorium in Federalsburg on May 9th.

Leadercast is a world-renowned leadership speaker series that seeks to change the way the world thinks about leadership. This one-day event takes place in Atlanta, Georgia and is broadcast live to select sites throughout the world. This year will be the first time that a public broadcast of Leadercast will be offered on the Eastern Shore. The live broadcast will take place under the name “Leadercast Delmarva” and will bring together over 600 business and civic leaders from throughout the region.

The 2014 Leadercast speakers include Jack Welch, former CEO of GE; Malcolm Gladwell, bestselling author of books like The Tipping Point and Blink; Archbishop Desmond Tutu, internationally celebrated humanitarian; and Laura Bush, former First Lady of the United States. These speakers, along with others, will discuss this year’s Leadercast theme: Beyond You. This theme was chosen to encourage individuals to look outward for new opportunities to lead within their organizations and communities.

“Companies that emphasize leadership have less employee turnover and greater productivity,” says Dave Whaley, President of the CEDC Board of Directors. “Leadercast Delmarva is a great opportunity for companies to invest in the growth of their managers and rising stars.”

Several companies have already signed up to sponsor Leadercast Delmarva, including Tanglewood Conservatories, Victor Stanley, Willow Construction, and the Caroline Chamber of Commerce, among others.

Tickets for Leadercast Delmarva are available online at www.CarolineBusiness.com/Leadercast. An early bird ticket rate of $59 per person is available through February 14th, after which prices will go up to $69. Tickets include lunch, and there is an automatic discount of 10% for group purchases of six tickets or more.
