Who We Are
The Caroline Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is a private, nonprofit corporation which has operated the economic development program of Caroline County since July 1, 2001. The Office for Tourism and Heritage Development is also under the mandate of the CEDC.
The CEDC handles, on a contract basis, multiple aspects of economic development for Caroline County. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- General economic development (attracting, expanding and retaining businesses)
- Small-business development (counseling, financing, etc.)
- Other associated activities (i.e. handling various aspects of the Caroline County small business loan program, operating the Caroline County small business resource center, etc.)
Caroline County continues to work closely with the economic development programs of the various towns in this county, as well as the private sector, to develop economic-development infrastructure.
